Madonna and Sir Elton John's combative history is no secret. Now, after both throwing an Oscar party on the same night, are they at it again?

Elton and his husband, David Furnish, held their annual Oscar dinner party at the Pacific Design Centre in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation -- tickets cost $3,500 and last year more than $4 million was raised. Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Fran Drescher, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Gwen Stefani and Neil Patrick Harris all danced the night away at Elton's lavish fete, while Madonna held her much smaller party at the private home of her manager, Guy Oseary.

"They both have a very different sense of style when it comes to throwing a party," a friend of Madonna's tells me. "While Elton wanted a big party, saying yes to any famous person who wanted to attend, Madonna was much more selective. She wanted a more intimate party with A-list stars and no reality stars for sure."

Elton and Madonna have been sparring since 2004, when Madonna won Britain's Q Award for Best Live Act. At the time, Elton took a shot at Her Madgesty, declaring, "Anyone who lip-syncs in public on stage, when you pay £75 to see them, should be shot."

The feud was reignited this year, when Elton proclaimed that Madonna had "no f--king chance of winning" a Golden Globe for "W.E." -- less than an hour before she took home the award.

"The biggest difference isn't just the guests invited," Madonna's friend said. "You will notice Elton's party is a big press event that even has a red carpet outside. Madonna's party is very private, a place where real stars can relax and have fun."

Is Snooki Gonna Be A Mama?

According to a report by the New York Post on Wednesday, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is pregnant.

The pint-sized reality star is reportedly three-months pregnant with boyfriend Jionni LaValle’s baby, according to the Post.

The report comes just weeks after Snooki shot down rumors she was expecting.

“I definitely do want kids, but I’m not pregnant,” Snooki, 24, said on “Good Morning America” in an interview earlier this month. “Being pregnant should be a real thing and a happy thing, and I’m not.”

Baby or no baby, it’s definitely a time for change for the self-proclaimed “meatball.” She and co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley have begun filming on their “Jersey Shore” spinoff series in Jersey City, N.J.

Back in October, Snooki visited Access Hollywood Live, where she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover she has very specific plans for marriage and motherhood.

“I have a timeline and at 26, I do want to be married because I don’t want to be an old fart when my kids are like 18 in high school, you know?” Snooki said at the time. “I want to be a MILF.”

If Jionni hasn’t picked out a ring for his ladylove yet, he still has a little bit of time — Snooki turns 26 on November 23, 2013.

When contacted by Access Hollywood on Wednesday, a rep for Snooki had no comment on the pregnancy report.

A spokesperson for MTV would not comment on the pregnancy, only telling Access that “Nicole and Jenni began filming last week and moved into their new digs with animal print furniture in tow. Things are going great thus far.”

Betty Flemming celebrates her 22nd birthday this year, but frankly, she has always looked old for her age.

Her condition isn't medical, it's "calendar-ical:" She was born Feb. 29, 1924. As such, she only has a birthday every four years, which means she only was legally old enough to buy booze in 2008.

But that's only if you go by the birthdays that were actually on the calendar. Chronologically, Flemming will be 88 this year and lives in a retirement community in Springfield, Va. She has enjoyed her unique birthday since she first discovered she was a "leapling" at a surprise party.

"On my eighth birthday, my mother threw me a big surprise party on Feb. 29," Flemming told HuffPost Weird News. "I then realized what a special day it was. Every other year, we celebrated my birthday on March 1 because my mother said 'Feb. 28 was a day too soon!'"

Waiting four years for a real birthday sounds tough, but Flemming sees advantages.

"I get to hear from people and talk to people that I hadn't talked to in four years. It's a memorable day, so close friends and family always remember to celebrate," she said. "However, like any birthday, the hardest part is aging. Even if Feb. 29 doesn't come, I'm still another year older."

It is estimated that 4 million people share Flemming's birthday, including celebrities like rapper Ja Rule, motivational speaker Tony Robbins and actor Antonio Sabato Jr., who said in 2003 (a few months before his "eighth birthday") that he never felt shorted by the timing of his birth.

"I'm okay with it because it's also my grandfather's birthday," he said. "Plus, I get four years' worth of presents every Feb. 29."

It's true that having four years between birthdays might teach delayed gratification, but there are downsides, according to Lisa Barr, a publicist in New York, who will turn "12" this year.

"I don't think I realized that I was 'different' until I was in fourth grade," she said. "I remember someone saying that I didn't really have a birthday -- it was a non-leap-year -- and I remember feeling hurt and didn't understand what that meant."

Another problem: People forget she even has a birthday.

"I remember and always send birthday cards to people, so for them to 'forget' or say, 'Well, you don't really have a birthday this year anyway,' can hurt your feelings. Also, it's like you don't have a 'real day' that's yours... You just get older."

'The Carrie Diaries" Lead Announced!

Not so sure how I feel about the spin off to begin with... Maybe they should just leave a good thing as it is? But maybe it will do just as well as the series has! We'll have to see..

AnnaSophia Robb, the star of 2011 emotional movie “Soul Surfer,” will play a younger version of the iconic television and novel character in a pilot for The CW, a rep for the network confirmed to Access Hollywood on Monday.

Stefania Owen, the daughter from the now-canceled FOX comedy “Running Wilde,” will play Carrie’s little sister, Dorrit, 14.

The storyline will focus on a high-school aged Carrie, following the death of her mother, as she is raised by her father in Connecticut.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the network ordered a pilot for “The Carrie Diaries” (based on the book series from Candace Bushnell), which The CW first confirmed in January.

It was not clear if – or when — the new show would feature Carrie’s later-in-life “Sex and The City” best friends, including Samantha Jones, who was featured in “Summer and the City: A Carrie Diaries Novel,” or Miranda Hobbes, who was also in the book, which was released in April 2011.

AnnaSophia starred as Sara, opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in “Race to Witch Mountain,” and Violet in 2005’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factor,” with Johnny Depp.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — While a nearly silent, black-and-white throwback film to old Hollywood won best picture at Sunday’s Academy Awards, after-parties around town celebrated present day Hollywood with explosions of color, conversation, pounding music and pure glee.

At Vanity Fair’s always compact, A-list soiree at West Hollywood’s Sunset Tower Hotel, one of several parties following the 84th annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center, starlets and Oscar nominees and winners chatted, ate, roared with laughter and giggled to each other.

The scene played out like one of the charmingly glam moments depicted in soundless best picture Oscar winner “The Artist,” set in Los Angeles during the late 1920s transition from silent movies to talking pictures, yet filled with lively noise.

Jonah Hill, nominated for a best supporting actor award for best picture nominee “Moneyball,” smiled and shouted out a sassy expletive decrying his and the film’s loss, surrounded by a pack of friends, including Seth Rogen.

Rogen, who hosted Saturday’s Film Independent Spirit Awards, also laughed and drank with fellow funny guy Jason Segel, star of “The Muppets” movie, and comic-musician Bret McKenzie, who pumped his Oscar for best original song, for “The Muppets,” into the air.

“I think there was a list of people I had to apologize to,” acknowledged Rogen, to Hill, about his pointed barbs at the Spirit Awards aimed at a number of people, including director Brett Ratner, who dropped out of producing this year’s Oscars after making a gay slur.

The party, hosted by Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, served up wine and champagne as well as comfort food, from fried macaroni and cheese balls to hamburgers from In-N-Out. A live stand-up bassist and drummer played jazz tunes.

In one corner booth tucked to the side of the party’s outdoor patio, Gwyneth Paltrow held court with her Coldplay husband Chris Martin and silver screen vet Jane Fonda, while talking with Cameron Diaz.

Across the room, Jennifer Lopez lovingly fiddled with the collar of her boyfriend Casper Smart’s shirt. Lopez, wearing a maroon-brown sequined Zuhair Murad gown with a plunging front and back, later gabbed with her ex Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. The hip-hop mogul warmly rubbed her arm as Smart stood nearby.

Tom Cruise, standing next to his wife Katie Holmes, became downright excited talking to “Star Wars” director George Lucas. “You gotta do that, you gotta do that, you gotta direct!” Cruise loudly told Lucas.

Other attendees included Steve Martin, Kate Hudson, Sandra Bullock, Tina Fey, best actress Oscar nominee Rooney Mara and best actor Oscar nominee Demian Bichir.

A dapper David Beckham chomped on a burger while keeping close to his wife, Victoria Beckham. Sacha Baron Cohen pulled a complete 180 from his controversial Oscar red carpet stint dressed as a Moammar Gadhafi type figure to promote his upcoming film, “The Dictator.” Hanging out in a normal black tux, Cohen looked nothing like the bearded military character who poured ashes all over E! host Ryan Seacrest before the Oscar telecast.

6 Reasons You Shouldn't Get Back With Your Ex

Amber Vennum, an assistant professor at Kansas State University, is conducting a study of couples in cyclical relationships, i.e., those who have broken up and then gotten back together. According to her research, this is a common dating situation. Vennum analyzed information from cyclical and noncyclical couples using the relationship deciding scale, which assesses relationship qualities and accurately predicts what the relationship will be like 14 weeks into the future. What she found doesn't look good for couples who are considering getting back together.

Per Vennum’s research, couples in cyclical relationships display the following negative traits:

• More impulsive about major relationship transitions, like moving in together or having children
• Generally less satisfied with their partner
• Worse communication
• Make more decisions that negatively affected the relationship
• Lower self-esteem
• Experience higher uncertainty about their future together

Vennum also cites to previous research that indicates that couples who get back together think their partner has changed or that communication is better, but that doesn't seem to be the reality. She says, "The idea is that because people aren't making explicit commitments to the relationship, they are less likely to engage in pro-relationship behaviors, such as discussing the state of the relationship or making sacrifices for their partner." Vennum’s general advice for couples who have broken up is to not get back together.

As an infamously bad decision maker/the survivor of a cyclical relationship myself (you guys, I think I have seriously used the phrase, “When we broke up for the fourth time…”), I have to agree that I don't think cyclical relationships are healthy or have much potential to last. Aside from the reasons above, and the fact that your friends will probably be unable to break their own personal cycle of hating his stupid guts, I think there was one crushing reason why it didn't work for me. By dating my ex again, after he had done some pretty terrible things and without any major changes other than that we missed each other, I was basically sending him the message that it was okay to hurt me. So he kept doing it until he finally messed it up so bad, I reached my breaking point. As you can imagine, that did not feel like a positive experience. Getting back together can seem sweet or exciting, but it's really hard for people to change. Unless you broke up over something like distance or youth that can truly be different once you are back together, I think it’s generally a bad idea.
